Obituary of Dioscoro Bucol Uy

Surrounded by the embrace of his cherished family, Dioscoro Bucol Uy, aged 72, peacefully departed from this world in Phoenix, Arizona on March 12, 2024. His journey began on April 8, 1951, in Jilocon, Amlan, Negros Oriental, Philippines, where he entered the world as the beloved child of Estelita Bucol and Marciano Uy. Preceding him in passage to the heavens were his parents, alongside his brother Fernando Uy and former wife Rosalin Waren.

His cherished legacy lives on through his devoted children, Randy Uy and his wife Francine, who reside in Soledad, California. Additionally, he is survived by his daughters, Wella Potter of Goodyear, Arizona, Dhona Uy of Bend, Oregon and Casey Bruno and her husband Peter of San Francisco, California, tenderly holds memories of him close to heart.

This enduring bond of love transcends generations as he leaves behind six adoring grandchildren: Patrick Bruno, Kylie Potter, Kellan Potter, Ranson Uy, Dahren Uy and Brandon Uy. Each of these precious souls carries a piece of his spirit forward, ensuring that his presence remains vibrant within the family tapestry for years to come.

His presence also lives on in the hearts of his sister, Vilma Uy of Salinas, California, and a host of cherished cousins, nieces, and nephews, each holding fond memories of their time together with Dioscoro. As he embarks on his eternal journey, he leaves behind a tapestry of love and memories that will forever be woven into the fabric of his family's lives.

A Visitation and Viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 2nd from 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM with a Rosary Prayer Service at 4:00 PM at Healey Mortuary Chapel, 405 N Sanborn Rd, Salinas, CA 93905.

Celebration of the Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 22 Stone Street, Salinas, CA 93901 at 1:30 PM, Wednesday, April 3rd.

Burial Services will take place following the Mass at Garden of Memories Memorial Park in Salinas, California.
