Sandra "Sandy" Kay Keldsen, 55, longtime resident of Salinas, passed away on December 28, 2012 from a brief illness. She was born on June 30, 1957 in Santa Cruz, California.
Sandy enjoyed crafts, especially crocheting. She loved spending time with family and friends. She was currently was employed at Lincoln Elementary School as a Teacher's Aide, prior to her 20 year tenure at Mission Park Elementary School.
She is survived by

son, Billy (Debbie Michaels) Keldsen of Salinas
Steven Keldsen, Brian Kontos, Andrew,
Austin and Ayden Stevens all of Salinas
mother, May Root of Watsonville
brother, Bobby Root of Susanville
sisters, Natalie Serrano of Copperopolis
and Wendy Root of Watsonville also survive.
She is preceded in passing by her father, Bob Root.
Visitation to take place on Friday, January 4, 2013 5-9pm at the Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Salinas, CA 93905.
Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013 10am at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery 18200 Damian Way Salinas, CA 93907.
