Norma Jean "Jeanne" Miller, 82, of Salinas, passed away Sunday morning, June 17, 2012. She was born on December 23, 1929 in Mullinville, Kansas to John William Cromer and Pearl Crouse. The family moved to Greensburg in 1944, and Norma Jean graduated from Greensburg High School in 1947.
Norma Jean married Ernest Eugene "Gene" Miller on May 28, 1950. From this union, four children were born; Vicki, Connie, Eric, and Mark. She moved to Salinas, California in 1963 with her family and began working for the Salinas Californian advertising department for seven years and later for Monterey County Department of Social Services for twenty-five years, retiring, December , 1994.
Jeanne is survived by her children; Vicki and Eric Miller of Salinas, Mark Miller of Castroville,; grandson, James Reynard of Houston, Texas; grand-daughter, Sarah Miller of Castroville; great-granddaughter, Ella Reynard of Houston, Texas and sister, Glenna Beckett of Hugoton, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Pearl Cromer; husband, Gene Miller; daughter, Connie Miller, grand-daughter, Casey Leigh Miller and brothers, Frank and Bob Cromer.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2012 1-9pm at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Salinas, CA 93905.
Graveside Funeral Services will take place on Friday, June 22, 2012 11am at the Garden of Memories Cemetery 850 Abbott St. Salinas, CA 93901.
